The Danish fantasy film 'The Land of Glass' is about the young boy Jas who lives alone in a closed gardener with his father, a truck driver and often away.A children's fantasy movie about a friendship between a 13-year-old boy and a fairy. Jas finds a little girl and her grandmother in the stable at the end of the week when his parents leave him alone on the home farm. It turns out that they are elves that have found shelter in his stable from hunters who pervade the elves in the woods and try to take away the pearl that gives them magical power and thus life.
Jas lives alone in a disused nursery with his father, who is a truck driver and is often away. One day, Jas finds a girl and an old lady hiding in the barn. They call themselves Neia and Alva and have weird clothes on and wild hair. They say they live inside the forest and they can not return. Jas wants to help them and confides in his best friend Isaac. Soon, a couple of agents from a secret intelligence service arrive at the farm and start asking a lot of questions. Jas and Isak discover that there are poachers in the forest, who are hunting for a very rare and expensive item, which is sold illegally online for staggering sums, The Elven People's Healing Pearl… Now a wild hunt begins to save Jas' new friends.
"Landet af Glas" is a fantasy film for the whole family and written and directed by the former DR children's hosts Marie Rønn and Jeppe Vig Find. The main roles are played by Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt (Der Kommer en Dag) and Flora Ofelia Hofman Lindahl (winner of MGP 2015), as well as Arien Takiar known from the Iqbal films. In addition, i.a. Esben Dalgaard, Vigga Bro and Signe Egholm Olsen.
